Informations
Good afternoon everybody,
We have lots of tournaments happening over the next six months and some need more organisation than others. One of these such tournaments is the Prague Tournament which is due to take place on Saturday 11th April. As we need to book accommodation and internal transport through the hosting clubs, we really need to let them know as soon as possible if we will be sending a team. This is especially relevant due to the fact that the tournament will take place right at the end of the Luxembourg Easter school holidays.
So, before confirming your child will be available to participate in this tournament, please check your plans for the Easter holidays. For those who haven't planned anything yet, it could be a great opportunity to combine the tournament with a holiday in Prague and the wider Czech Republic.
The tournament itself is a very well run and competitive tournament. Clubs will travel there from Italy, Ireland, Germany, Poland and we hope Luxembourg 😁. We will compete against many of the stronger teams that we will meet later in the year in Frankfurt. It'll be a great opportunity to see where we stand as a group of players.
On top of this, it's a great chance for the kids to bond as a team. We'll be spending a lot of time in each other's company and we'll definitely visit the city and eat out together at some stage over the weekend.
You will soon receive a Clubee. Please give your availability (positive or negative) by Monday 19th January based on the following information:
- We would stay 2 nights (10th - 12th April) in a hotel in Prague, organised by the hosting clubs. Pricing will depend on availability and the hotel we choose. We usually try to put the kids in rooms together. Parents would then need to have their own room or share with another parent.
- As the tournament will take place during the holidays, and some may use this to extend their stay, we will most probably let people organise their own transport. There is of course the option of car-pooling with other families as happened the last time we went.
- At least 1 parent should accompany their child on the trip, unless they can organise with another parent to take this responsibility
REMEMBER, please only give your availability if you are sure to be able to go. Our confirmation to the hosts will come with a certain financial commitment. If you make your child available to travel and they are selected, then we will expect you to pay the associated costs when the time comes.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks for your timely reaction in this matter.
Regards,
Bill
